Paul Monroe has owned, managed, or counted beans for small and mid-sized businesses most of his adult life. His experience spans retail, construction, wholesale, various service industries, and not-for-profits. At the same time, he has observed and studied tax and business law, both in theory and as practiced. After forty years he can’t claim he’s never made a mistake, but he’s never made a mistake he hasn’t learned from.
Paul holds a BA degree in math and physics from Rice University. After four years in the Department of Space Physics (he does know if something is rocket science) he went into small businesses. He attended the University of Texas Law School in 1979 to 1981, and got his CPA license in 2002. As a CPA, he also has over 500 hours of professional education, the vast majority in taxation. Paul is also a student of life and the people in it. His advice and planning reflect his clients’ situations and goals.
Paul practices as a solo practitioner, but has a network of professionals and near-professionals to consult with and refer to.
